Training wire is how a bonsai's branches are actually shaped, not just trimmed — wrapped around a branch and bent gently into position, then left for months while it sets. Aluminium (what we stock) is the easier, more forgiving material for beginners; copper holds a shape better but is harder to apply and remove without damaging bark.
